Ace singer Neha Kakkar will be seen gracing the reality show ‘Superstar Singer 2’ which is judged by Himesh Reshammiya, Javed Ali, and Alka Yagnik. The makers have released an exciting promo on social media, teasing fans about Neha’s grand appearance as a special guest on the show. In the promo, Neha can be seen getting emotional as she breaks down in tears while listening to a young contestant singing her popular song ‘Maahi Ve.’ While many fans called Neha a ‘soft-hearted person’, several netizens trolled Kakkar calling her ‘drama queen.’
In a video shared by Sony TV on Instagram, a contestant named Mani, who hails from Punjab, gives outstanding performance on the song ‘Maahi Ve’. The way the 11-year-old contestant sang the song by adding his own classical touch made Neha cry. She looked stunned with her mouth wide open. While praising the young boy, the singer could not control herself as she starts crying. She tells Mani that she would never be able to sing the song the way he did. Neha said in Hindi, “I have performed this Maahi Ve song in thousands of concerts. I will never be able to sing it the way you have sung it today.” She then gives the contestant a sweet hug as he came toward her seat to seek her blessings.
However, a section of people trolled Neha saying there was no need to cry. Interestingly, the original version of the song 'Maahi Ve' was sung by Sunidhi Chauhan for the 2003 film Kaante. Neha recreated remixed version of the song in the film ‘Wajah Tum Ho.’
