Surbhi Chandana Owns TV Show Sanjivani’s Failure, 'It Was My Decision To Do It And I Take The Responsibility' – VIDEO
TV actor Surbhi Chandana who was last seen playing Naagin in Ekta Kapoor's supernatural series Naagin 5 has some very successful television shows to her name. The actress has played leading lady in shows like Ishqbaaaz, Dil Boley Oberoi, Sanjivani and Naagin 5. However, Sanjivani which was a reboot of the 2002 series of the same name failed to get the same kind of love from the audience and had to go off air in a month’s time. Where actor's often make the storyline or plot responsible when shows don't work, Surbhi is someone who likes to own the failure.

In a video being shared on social media, the actress has confessed that Sanjivani didn't manage to meet the expected response. Surbhi says, "Sanjivani back in those days was one of the best shows. It had actors like Mohnish Behl, Gurdeep Ji. Then you are coming with another season of it another instalment and that is another responsibility. It couldn't touch the (desired) numbers and I am saying this honestly and being very candid about it. And it happened because people had high expectations from you. But then people also fail to realise that there are lot many factors involved when a show doesn't work. Majorly their creative differences among the channel and the production or the writers. To get everybody on the same page is also a task. Keeping that also aside I feel it is a responsibility and I own up to it".  Also read: Sanjivani, First Look: Surbhi Chandana, Namit Khanna, Mohnish Behl, Gurdeep Kohli And Sayantani Ghosh Are Back

Surbhi went on saying, "Jaise Sanjivani nahi chala itna amazingly well jaisa logo ne umeed kiya tha. So I also take ownership of it and say ki haan maine ek aisa show kiya jise mujhe umeedien thi but aisa nahi hua. But that's ok it’s a part and parcel of my career and I am going to own up to it. If a show becomes successful you get the credit then why not take the responsibility if it doesn't do well.” Also read: Naagin 5: Surbhi Chandana And Sharad Malhotra's Intimate Scene Sets The Internet On FIRE; Here's How Producer Ekta Kapoor Reacted

Sanjivani may have failed to reach the expected numbers but Surbhi's fans kept it alive on social media. Her chemistry with actor Namit Khanna was appreciated by them. But she got her charm back with Naagin 5 where she initially starred opposite Mohit Sehgal and then later Sharad Malhotra.
