Sushant Singh Rajput Death: His On-Screen Pavitra Rishta Mother Usha Nadkarni Breaks Down; Says 'I Am Unable To Believe'

With super hit films like Kai Po Che, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Chhichhore and more registered in his name, Sushant Singh Rajput was considered to be one of the finest stars in Bollywood. His demise has certainly left everyone in shock. The actor died by suicide as he hung himself from the ceiling fan in his apartment on June 14. What forced him to do so nobody knows as he did not leave behind a suicide note, however, depression is said to be a cause of his demise. Now, we have come across the reaction of his on-screen mother Usha Nadkarni.
The veteran actress who essayed the role of his mother in his hit television serial Pavitra Rishta is unable to believe that something like this has happened with Sushant Singh Rajput. In an interview with Mumbai Tak, Usha Nadkarni broke down and said that this should have not happened. She said that Sushant achieved everything that he wanted in his life, so she is shocked as to why he took such a drastic step.
Pavitra Rishta that also starred Ankita Lokhande was one of the highest TRP raking shows and it gave enough recognition to Sushant Singh Rajput. Here's Usha Nadkarni's video mourning SSR's death.
Earlier, to IANS, Usha Nadkarni was quoted saying, "Sushant was a quiet boy. We had worked together for almost two and a half years on the show ‘Pavitra Rishta’. It was a good experience playing the role of his ‘aai’. When my hairdresser contacted me in the morning and shared the news of Sushant’s demise, I could not believe it. I thought it was a hoax. My immediate reaction was Sushant aatmahatya kashi karu shakto (why would Sushant commit suicide)? But then, the news was all over and it sadly turned out to be true. My whole body started shaking as read the news of his death. I just had tears rolling down my eyes. I was numb for a moment. May his soul Rest in peace."
