Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Dilip Joshi, Bhavya Gandhi And Others At Ghanshyam Nayak’s Last Rites
Ghanshyam Nayak aka Nattu Kaka of the show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, passed away after his battle against cancer on October 3, 2021
October 3, 2021, came heartbreaking news of popular TV show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Ghanshyam Nayak being no more. Entertaining the audience with his portrayal of Nattu Kaka on the show, the cast and crew of the show were left heartbroken. The actor was suffering from cancer and had undergone surgery last year. Following the news of his death, TMKOC cast Dilip Joshi, Bhavya Gandhi, Munmun Dutta, Mandar Chandwadkar, Tanmay Vekerai, Samay Shah and more were seen at his last rites and making a quick visit to his residence to pay their last respect.
Tanmay Vekaria, who played Bagga on the show, told Etimes TV that the late actor was humble and passionate about his work. He adds the late actor’s son called at 5:45 informing him of his death that left him shocked. He added, “He was in a lot of pain since the last 2-3 months and I feel now he is in a better place. I would often speak to his son and he would tell me that he was in immense pain and had become cranky because of it. He was not able to gulp, eat or even drink water.”
His co-stars such as Tanuj Mahashabde (Iyer), Munmun Dutta (Babita), Jennifer Mistry (Mrs. Sodhi), show director Malav Rajda, TV producer JD Majethia, Rupali Ganguly, Shireen Mirza, Ambika Ranjankar (Mrs. Hathi) and Gurucharan Singh (Sodhi) taking to Instagram paid their condolence. Most of them were seen remembering the time they spent with him.
Creator of the show, Asit Kumarr Modi informing about his death, tweeted, “Hamare pyaare #Natukaka @TMKOC_NTF hamare saath nahi rahe (Our beloved Nattu Kaka is no more). The actor passed away at the age of 76.
