Finally, the wait is over! The makers of the upcoming comedy show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ have revealed the new Nattu Kaka. Producer Asit Kumarr Modi shared a video on social media, introducing actor Kiran Bhatt as the Nattu Kaka of the show. The character of Nattu Kaka was originally played by Ghanshyam Nayam, who died last year after a long battle with cancer. The announcement made fans emotional as many said Ghanshyam cannot be replaced.
Taking to their official Twitter handle, TMKOC's makers dropped a video where Modi Kumarr was seen introducing theatre artist Kiran Bhatt as Nattu Kaka to fans. The producer paid tribute to Ghanshyam with his emotional message. However, he mentioned that everyone misses him but the show must go on. The team shared a photo of Kiran and wrote, “Aap sabhi ne hume aur Nattu Kaka ko itna saara pyaar diya, uske liye hum shukraguzaar hai. Yehi pyaar ko hamesha banaye rakhna... Iss hi baat pe presenting our new Nattu Kaka Link in bio. Miliye unhe aaj raat 8:30 baje aur dekhte rahiye.”
Reacting to the post, one fan said, “Ghanshyam Nayak Sir Ki Yaad Ayegi But Yeh Wale Natu Kaka Bhi Mast Hain Super Excited For Upcoming Episodes Of TMKOC.” Another wrote, “Ghanshyam Nayak Cannot Be Replaced...... But We Are Happy To See Nattu Kaka's Character Is Back Again.”
To note, Kiran Bhatt and Nattu Kaka shared a great bond of friendship during their initial years in the theatre industry. Talking about playing Nattu Kaka, Kiran stated that he is glad to step into the shoes of his late friend. He also called it a very ‘emotional role’ and promised that he will try to do full justice to the role Ghanshyam excelled in for the years. In October, Ghanshyam Nayam died of cancer. He was 77 years old. The late actor appeared in over 100 Gujarati and Hindi films and nearly 350 television serials.
