Here’s another television actor who surprised us with the news of his wedding. This weekend saw Ali Merchant tying the knot with his long-time girlfriend, investment banker Anam.
This is Ali's second marriage. Remember the controversial wedding that happened during Bigg Boss season 4? Ali got married to then girlfriend Sara Khan on TV, but that turned out to be a publicity stunt and the two separated soon after.
The actor found love once again in Anam and decided to take the plunge.
The two got hitched in a private ceremony in Karjat. The arranged-cum-love marriage was a low-key affair with just friends and family in attendance.
The cocktail party, also held at a farmhouse in Karjat, was attended by Ali’s close friends from the television industry, including Vishal Karwal, Rohit Khurana, Sahil Anand, Aditya Redij, Yash Patnaik, Dhaval Gada and Kunal Verma. Tia Bajpai performed a few numbers for the guests.
Ayushmann Khurrana, a close friend of Ali had the bride and groom dance to a romantic number as he sang. Ali even took over the DJ console towards the end of the party and kept spirits high.
