The Kapil Sharma Show: Krushna Abhishek Chooses To Keep Away From The Show As Makers Invite Govinda In The Upcoming Episode
Krushna Abhishek on why he won’t be part of The Kapil Sharma Show’s upcoming episode which will have Govinda and his wife Sunita as the guests
The bad blood between Govinda and his nephew Krushna Abhishek is known to all. Though it has been three years after their fallout, the two have kept away. Hence, when the actor and comedian came to know about Govinda along with his wife Sunita will be gracing The Kapil Sharma Show, he opted out. This is the second instance when the actor has kept away from his uncle, in November 2020, too he opted out when Govinda graced the show.
As reported in ETimes TV, Krushna shared as both of them don’t wish to share the stage, he chose to keep away from the episode. He said, “Since the past 15 days, I have been shuttling between Raipur and Mumbai to shoot for my film and Kapil’s show. I would always go that extra mile to adjust my dates for the show. However, when I learnt that they would be appearing as celebrity guests in the upcoming episode, I didn’t want to be a part of it, so I didn’t try to adjust my dates. I believe both parties don’t wish to share a stage.”
Though he agrees audience wait for his gig when Govinda appears on the show, he feels that as jokes will be cracked he is worried that even the smallest of the comment might turn into a big issue. Hence, it is better not to perform. He adds, “Yeh meri taraf se bhi hoga aur unki taraf se bhi hoga. Also, it’s a comedy show. Pata nahi kaun si baat lekar badi baat bann jaye aur phir wohi sab hoga ki aisa bol diya waisa bol diya. I didn’t want to create an issue. I am sure that the audience waits in anticipation for my gig when Govindaji comes on the show, but I realised that it was better not to perform.”
He further added, “Artistes bahut emotional hote hain. Unko kaam karna chahiye par aise bhi nahi jahaan dono ko ek doosre ko dekhna nahi hai. In complete understanding with the makers for inviting Govinda, despite knowing Krushna’s equation with him, he feels, “Why should the team spoil their relationship with Govinda? It’s a family matter...an internal matter. Kapil is extremely fond of him and shares a great bond with him. I wouldn’t want Kapil to spoil his equation with him.”
Back in 2018 when Krushna Abhishek’s wife Kashmera Shah tweeted about some ‘people who dance for money’ Govinda’s wife Sunita felt it was directed to Govinda. In 2019 when Govinda, Sunita and their daughter Tina Ahuja made an appearance on the show, Krushna did not perform back then as well. It was reported Sunita did not want to share the screen space with him.
