Tujhse Hai Raabta Actress Reem Shaikh Opens Up About Being Rejected From Auditions Thrice For Being ‘Chubby’

Television actress Reem Shaikh has been garnering a lot of attention with her Zee TV show Tujhse Hai Raabta. The actress has successfully maintained her place in the Television industry and has been winning the hearts of the audiences with her performance on her TV show. Sharing her experiences about her struggles before entering the TV industry, Reem Shaikh reveals her first-time auditions experience and the struggles she faced.
Reem Shaikh is currently playing the role of Kalyani Malhar on the TV show Tujhse Hai Raabta. The actress marked her Television debut with 2010 show Neer Bhare Tere Naina Devi and played the character of Lakshmi/ Devi. Recently, in an interview with Pinkvilla, the actress shared about the struggles she faced while trying to maintain her place in the industry. Reem shared how she was rejected three times from the auditions for being Chubby and also shared details on her first salary in the conversation.
During the interview, Shaikh spoke of how she did Tujhse Hai Raabta nearly after two years of doing Ashoka and revealed honestly about how she did not take the break willingly. The actress added how after Ashoka nothing was working for her. Reem disclosed that she signed ten shows and all of them got shelved and rejected for some reason. Talking about her experience during auditions, she revealed it used to go amazing but she used to cry in them and was almost about to give up. Sharing her experience, Reem said that they had finalized some other girl and had already done a mock shoot with her. She then added that at the last moment that girl could not do the shoot and they called Reem. The actress shared how she was in a bad mood the day she received the call and disclosed she cried in the audition and got selected.
Reem also shared how she got complimented that day by the director and shared her first salary was Rs 300, which she has still kept along with her.
