TV actress Payal Rohatgi is the latest celeb to mourn the sad demise of Tunisha Sharma, who was found hanging on the sets of her show. On Saturday, Rohatgi was spotted by paps with her wrestler husband Sangram Singh at Mumbai airport where she raised questions on Tunisha’s family and reminded how the actress was fighting depression a few years ago. Payal said Tunisha in an old interview herself admitted she was ‘not mentally that strong.’
As reported by Etimes, Payal Rohatgi while speaking to the media said, “She was 20 years old. In a 2018 interview, she spoke about fighting depression and said she is not mentally that strong. So, her family, the elders in the family, they had to take extra care. She was the earning member of the family. So, there is a pressure to work. She went on to expose the working atmosphere in the television industry and revealed she used to work for 12 hours and newcomers, work for 15 hours. Payal explained due to long working hours, mental health is not maintained for TV actors. “I am not sure about the other angle (alleged involvement of Sheezan Khan in Tunisha's death), but whatever it is let the police and proper agencies do the investigation,” she added.
For the unversed, Tunisha Sharma passed away on December 24 on the sets of her show Ali Baba Dastaan-E-Kabul. She was found hanging in the makeup of her co-star and rumoured boyfriend Sheezan Khan, who was arrested by Mumbai Police in an abetment of suicide case. Tunisha's mother Vanita Sharma has accused Sheezan of harassing her daughter and forcing her to commit suicide.
