Veteran actor Sameer Khakhar breathed his last in Mumbai on Wednesday morning due to multiple organ failure
Veteran television and Bollywood actor Sameer Khakhar left for his heavenly abode on early Wednesday morning. He breathed his last in Mumbai at the age of 71 due to multiple organ failure. He left behind an illustrious career of over three decades. As reported by ABP News, the late actor’s brother Ganesh Khakhar confirmed his passing and shed light on what happened.
The media report stated that he was quite unwell for the last few days and after having trouble breathing on Tuesday, March 14, afternoon, he was admitted to the MM Hospital in Borivali. He was admitted to the ICU after he fainted at the hospital. Sadly, the actor passed away from multiple organ failure on Wednesday morning, March 15, at 4:30 am.
His brother went on to inform that the late actor’s last rites will be performed at the Babhai Naka cremation ground in Borivali. His funeral service was conducted at the Borivali Crematorium at 10 am.
For the unversed, Khakhar made a huge name for himself in his career of 38 years. From Bollywood movies, television shows to Gujarati theatre he was well-loved by the audience. Talking about his notable characters, he has been a part of movies like Dilwale, Parinda, Return of Jewel Teef, Shahanshaan, Jai Ho and many more.
He had relocated to the United States after a brief hiatus from the entertainment industry. His last known character was Khopri from the television series Nukkad. Talking about the television shows, he has been a part of serials like Manorajan, Circus, Naya Nukkad, Shrimaan Shrimati, and Adaalat.
