Akshay Kumar Strikes A Pose For A Photo Shoot
Now sources close to the channel have blasted the Duas stating that the clip that they referred to while accusing Akshay was from the very first episode. So, if they did have a problem with the comment, why did Mallika continue to shoot the rest of the episodes with Akshay? “The clip belongs to the first episode, and if Mallika had a problem with it why didn’t she raise the alarm right then? She continued to shoot with Akshay for further episodes, and they got along well. Why has this post only come up after the news of being replaced from the show?” the source questions.
For those who've come in late, the clip that the Duas are referring to has Akshay telling Mallika while ringing the golden bell, "Mallika Ji, aap ghanti bajao main apko bajata hoon."
Akshay Kumar With Mallika Dua, Zakir Khan And Hussain Dalal On The Show
Now fans are claiming that it was said in jest by the superstar, but as SheSaysIndia, a non-profit organisation fighting for women's rights pointed out on their Facebook post, it seems like a case of sexual harassment at work place. The post read, “Male actors still get away with making sexually colored remarks like this one under the guise of ‘comedy’. This is unacceptable and can be deemed an offense under S. 354 A of the Indian Penal Code and The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. In light of the Harvey Weinstein scandal, we need to look closer to home and fight this pervasive culture. #MeToo (sic).”
Vinod went on to post the video with the caption, "I am going to screw this cretin Akshay Kumar for telling his co worker Mallika Dua that “aap bell bajao main aap ko bajata hun” at 5:26.This is his sense of humor and language. Star Plus..wake up..(sic)."
