Aastha Sharma and Kamya Punjabi starrer Neerja – Ek Nayi Pehchaan is coming to an end due to low viewership
Television serial Neerja – Ek Nayi Pehchaan, co-starring Sneha Wagh, Aastha Sharma, and Kamya Punjabi, among many others, is all set to go off-air. Following the journey of Neerja, raised by a single mother Protima in the red-light district of Kolkata, the popular show is all set to be booted off due to shockingly low viewership. Now that the cast has shared glimpses from the final days of the shoot, fans have been left wondering why the show was forced to go off-air.
According to a report by Times Now Digital/ Telly Talk India, a source close to the project told the entertainment portal that the show was not doing great in terms of viewership. They went on to add, “The growth had become stagnant. While talking about what happens after the show ends, the source revealed that currently there is no other show that will be aired on their time slot. The source went on to add that a new show will replace Neerja at the end of February. They added, “After a few days, a new show will come. It is called Mangal Lakshmi. We are yet to announce the date but it will be towards the end of February or first week of March. Mangal Lakshmi will be replacing Neerja then.”
For the unversed, Deepika Singh will headline the project. She will essay the role of Mangal who juggles between her role of a daughter, wife, and daughter-in-law all the while raising her younger sister Lakshmi.
