Internet personality Rakhi Sawant’s ex-husband Adil Khan Durrani has left the netizens in shock by tying the knot for the 2nd time. He got married to Bigg Boss season 12 contestant Somi Khan in a hush-hush wedding on March 3. Photos from their marriage ceremony are currently going viral on social media, leaving many in disbelief. Days after tying the knot, he has now also opened up about how his relationship with his now-wife progressed.
Hours after reports of his second marriage started doing rounds on the internet, spoke about it in an interview with Times Now News. Adil told the portal that he married Somi in Mysore and clarified that this was not a publicity stunt. He decided to tie the knot after getting permission from the court. Talking about their love story, he recalled that they fell in love while working on a music video in Dubai. Post that they dated for around 7 months. Quoted by the Free Press Journal, he said, “We shot for a song and that's how we got to know each other. Things went well and now we are married. Love toh 2 minute me ho jata hai aur maine Somi ko 7 mahine date kiya.” Durrani added that his and his wife’s parents are happy with their union. Talking about his first marriage with Rakhi Sawant, they tied the knot in 2022 in a traditional ceremony. However, they parted ways a year later after a messy divorce filled with allegations and accusations. The couple left no stone unturned to wash their dirty laundry in front of the media and even went as far as to file around 7 cases on each other. If reports are to be believed, their relationship fell apart when she accused him of extra-marital affairs, sexual harassment and physical abuse. She went on to allege that he also mishandled her funds and accused him of killing her mother by not paying for her cancer treatment when the actress was busy shooting for Bigg Boss Marathi season 4.
