Many stars have reportedly rejected or turned down projects that turned out to be a massive hit. Be it stars like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Katrina Kaif, Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan, they have rejected some incredible movies in the past. Similarly, Telly actor Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya has also rejected some renowned shows in the past, including the hit sitcom, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The actor who rose to fame by playing Vidya and Divya in Banoo Main Teri Dulhann and gained immense popularity by playing Dr Ishita Iyer Bhalla in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein has turned down some shows for various reasons.

Kya Huaa Tera Vaada: The show starred Mona Singh, Pawan Shankar and Mouli Ganguly. Reportedly, she was offered Mona’s role in the show but Divyanka rejected it for the reasons best known to her.

Aaj Ki Housewife Hai… Sab Janti Hai: Divyanka was reportedly the first choice to play ‘Sona Kanhaiyya Chaturvedi’ in the show but unfortunately, the role was then played by Suhasi Goradia Dhami

Punar Vivaah: The makers were keen to bring Divyanka onboard for the serial but with her ‘no’, the show was then passed to Kratika Sengar who gained immense love from viewers.

Kuch Toh Log Kahenge: It was one of the highest-rated shows back starring Monish Behl and Kritika Kamra. The unique concept grabbed the viewer’s attention but it certainly didn’t entice Divyanka who had to reject the show for unknown reasons.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Interestingly, in her rejected list, one of the longest-running shows, TMKOC also finds a place. Reportedly, she was offered to play Dayaben in the show; however, her loss became Disha Vakani’s gain and the rest is history.
