Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai's Kanchi Singh Tests Positive For COVID-19; Actress Goes Into Home Quarantine
Kanchi Singh, who is popularly known for playing Gayatri in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai took to her Instagram and informed fans that she has tested positive for Coronavirus. Read on!
In the past weeks, there are many TV celebs who tested positive for coronavirus. While some have recovered, there are others who are still battling the virus. Recently, Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly tested positive for coronavirus. And now Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress Kanchi Singh also tested positive for COVID-19. For the uninitiated, Kanchi was in Bhopal shooting for her Bollywood film, Shukr-Dosh. She took to her Instagram and informed fans about testing positive for Coronavirus.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Kanchi wrote, "Unfortunately I have tested positive for Covid. I have isolated myself and am in-home quarantine. I am following all the safety protocols. To all of you out there take care stay safe and truly don't step out if you don't have to. It's time we come together by staying indoors and fight this virus."
Kanchi is popularly known for portraying Avni Kandelwal in Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya and Gayatri Deora in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. In an interview with ETimes, Kanchi was asked what made her leave Television and get into films, to which she said that every individual who aspires to be an actor wants to be a movie star. "That's always the goal and the same applies to me too. I am a TV star but now is the time when I'm ready to start my Bollywood journey. But that doesn't mean that if something good comes up in television, I will let it go," added Kanchi. The actress further mentioned that whatever she is today is because of the TV industry and her love for television will never fade away.
The actress is very active on social media. She regularly updates fans about her whereabouts. On the personal front, she was dating Rohan Mehra. The duo's breakup made a lot of buzz.
