Zindagi Ki Mehak Actress Samiksha Jaiswal Breaks Her Silence On Slap Controversy With Co-Star Karan Vohra's Wife Bella
The infamous slap controversy that apparently had Karan Vohra’s wife Bella slapping Zindagi Ki Mehak actress Samiksha Jaiswal may be a thing of the past, but it is still remembered. So during a recent press launch, we asked Samiksha on the matter and here’s what she had to say
TV actress Samiksha Jaiswal whom we last saw in Zee TV's Zindagi Ki Mehak created a lot of buzz during the show. Her chemistry with co-star Karan Vohra grabbed a lot of attention. As per a report in Telly Chakkar, Samiksha found Karan desirable and Karan's wife was pretty insecure about the off-screen bond between Samiksha and her husband. The two co-stars were quite friendly and this reportedly upset Bella (Karan's Wife). She often used to visit the sets to keep a watch on them. And when she heard that Samiksha has announced her crush on Karan, the lady warned the actress to stay away from her husband. But Samiksha told her that it was no big deal if she had a crush on her hubby.
Later, Bella apparently landed up on the sets of the show in Delhi and slapped Samiksha in front of the whole cast and crew. The actress just walked out. It has been nearly 2 years since the incident happened, but it is still remembered.
We recently managed to speak with Samiksha on the matter during a press launch. Rubbishing the rumours, she told us, "We all were laughing first of all over what has been written and why? We were shooting in Delhi and there was no media around. Don't know from where they came up with something which was absolutely false. And I didn't react to the report as there was no point talking about something which is untrue. Producer (Saurabh Tiwari) was laughing the most saying ‘okay great, you are in news. Good or bad you are in news and it shows your popularity. So I also took the whole thing very lightly.”
Samiksha will be seen next in Colors TV show Begum Bahu opposite Arjit Taneja. Talking about her character Noor, she said, "This is the first time that I will be essaying an Islamic character. I am elated to play Noor, a girl who is full of life. For Noor, her best friend Azaan means everything and can go to any extent to see her best friend Azaan happy. Noor’s character is very similar to how I am in real life; chirpy, outspoken and I thoroughly enjoyed essaying it.”
Begum Bahu is a show about three individuals Azaan, Shayra and Noor entangled in a web of love, revenge and penance. As destiny forces them to stay together in a holy matrimony, Azaan’s one decision wreaks havoc and turns their lives upside down. The show features Arjit Taneja as Azaan Ali Khan, Sameeksha Jaiswal as Noor, Diana Khan as Shayra Anwar, and Simone Singh as Begum Raziya.
