“Yeh Lo Ji, Yeh Hai Humare Ex,” Urvashi Dholakia Finally Declares As She Participates With Anuj Sachdeva In Nach Baliye 9- EXCLUSIVE
Urvashi Dholakia has been making a lot of noise ever since the news of she participating in Nach Baliye 9, with former boyfriend, Anuj Sachdeva came out but none of them have officially announced their participation together yet. We met with the actress recently, to know about how things are shaping up
Urvashi Dholakia, who set the small screen on fire with her nikka in Ekta Kapoor’s ambitious project, Kasautii Zindagii Kay (2001) as Komolika, is till date remembered as one of the best ramps, the television world has ever seen. Ask fans, and they would still want Urvashi to come back as Komolika in the reboot version of Kasautii. However, that’s not happening for now but what is happening is Nach Baliye 9 with her former lover, Anuj Sachdeva. And the actress is super excited about it.
We met Urvashi Dholakia recently and spoke about her new endeavour- the idea of coming back with her ex-boyfriend, Anuj and how they both hit it off while shooting for the show. Urvashi has never accepted her relationship with Anuj ever but in our exclusive conversation, the actress confirmed for the first time that she was, indeed, dating him. Excerpts from the conversation:
Nach Baliye 9 is finally happening. What was your reaction when the makers approached you to participate with your former lover, Anuj Sachdeva?
My reaction was very normal. In fact, you will be surprised to know that I immediately said ‘yes’. I believe that when we can work with strangers, why it should be difficult to work with someone you have known for so long.
Interestingly, you both never accepted your relationship when you were dating each other. So, why now?
I never accepted because once you do, a lot of speculations about your relationship start. People talk what they want to and by the time it's the couple's turn to speak on it, they are probably not in the mood to or they never get a chance to. Also, I have been very private about my personal life and thankfully the media has respected it. But now, when I finally have an opportunity to vent my heart, I am coming to you guys to do the khulaasa and tell the world, "Yeh lo ji, yeh hain humare Ex."
What was your family’s reaction when they got to know that you are participating with Anuj?
They were extremely happy about it. My kids and my mother have been very supportive because they know whatever decision I make, as far as career goes, it has never really backfired.
Your fans wanted to see you as Komolika in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2. How does it feel?
I am so happy they felt that way. But Ekta didn't approach me for it (laughs). We definitely discussed the fact that she is remaking the show and I was very happy about it. The show has come back after 9 long years; it’s a very big thing!
Do you think ex-flames will prove to be a heavier side and make things difficult for the current jodis?
Filhaal to hum hi apne upar bhaut bhaari pad rahe hain. Honestly, right now I have no time to think about others. I am my biggest competition, maker and breaker of what I do in the show. So, I am not going to think about anybody else but myself.
