And this time, the beautiful actress will essay the iconic character of Komolika in Ekta Kapoor's Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2 (aired on Star Plus). Yes, we were the first one to tell you about it. It's not going to be an easy task and Aamna seems to know that.

When did you get to know that you are the new Komolika?
Just a couple a weeks back once all the formalities were done.
What kept you away from TV for so long?
I was busy exploring and enjoying other important aspects of my personal life.
Have you followed Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 as an audience, when Hina Khan essayed Komolika?
Unfortunately, I had not seen the show earlier but what I have gathered from everyone is that Hina's portrayal was very powerful and she made it hugely popular too.
For the first time, we will see you in a grey shade character. Do you feel that the fans will accept the sweet Kashish (of Kahiin To Hoga) in a negative role?
I think the most exciting part of this job is to keep surprising your audiences. Kashish was the epitome of sweetness and playing anything would have been definitely monotonous and short of expectations.
You have already started shooting for KZK 2. How is it going?
Yes, I have started shooting and there is a lot of zest and excitement but of course there is a pinch of nervousness too. I really want my character to get due acclaim.
Who did you first inform that you are the new Komolika?
Of course my husband, and he was equally excited. He's encouraging me a lot.
Ekta Kapoor has again restored faith in you...
The reason today I am here is because of Ekta and Balaji . It was her vision of Kashish that made me into a household name and I feel every time we have collaborated together, we've delivered a success whether it's Kahiin Toh Hoga or Ek Villain... so working with her is like coming back home. Ekta is one of the most wonderful producers that an actor can ask for. She's extremely workaholic, supremely creative and a wonderful person at heart.
