Here's an exclusive, fun-filled chat with Akbar Ka Bal Birbal actors- Ali Asgar and Vishal Kotian, where the actors speak about their bond, the show and coming back together after 22 years
Akbar Ka Bal Birbal actors Ali Asgar and Vishal Kotian have reunited after 22 years to entertain their fans. The two, who are playing the lead roles of Akbar and Birbal in the show respectively, took out sometime to have a video chat with us about their reunion, their first show together, their bond on-screen and off screen and more.
During the interaction, when Ali and Vishal were in a quirky mood, Ali's daughter Ada joined us in between, and that's when the actor disclosed to us that she is the biggest critic of his work in his family. In this half an hour exclusive conversation with us, the amazing actors made some interesting revelations about them which you just can't afford to miss.
Ali Asgar says in no time he has got comfortable shooting with everyone as a team. The actor who is doing a period drama for the first time says, "I haven't shot with anyone in this team except Vishal before. But now we have got such a good understanding as a team that we all know what will be the next reaction. We work as a team in an extremely positive and healthy atmosphere. We try to give equal exposure to everyone while performing any scene which is very healthy for the show also. In our show, we don't do 'main, main' we rather say 'hum hum'. Because by the end of the day, show ka chalna bhaut zaroori hai mera ya Vishal ka chalna nahi. Jab show chalega to sab nazar aayenge." Talking about their reunion after two decades, Vishal said, "I was not an actor and had just won a modelling contest when a show called Dil Vil Pyaar Vyaar got offered to me. It starred four of us- me, Ali bhai, Swapnil Joshi and Rakesh Taneja. And I have been a die heart fan of Ali bhai since my childhood. He used to do a show titled Ek Do Teen Chaar where he used to play the son of a garage owner and I remember when I had told him that Ali bhai main aapko bachpan se dekhta hoon so he gave me a strange look that ab main itna bhi bada nahi hoon ki tu mujhe bachpan se dekhta hai. So, I looked up to him and said nahi nahi, aapne bachpan mein kaam shuru kiya that." Ali's daughter Ada, after joining the conversation told us, "I have never seen Dad so strict, so watching him like Akbar is really nice. Also, now when I am studying about Akbar in my school, my own father is playing Akbar". Vishal added, "Just for your information Ali's son name is Akbar."
