Right after lifting
the winner’s trophy for Nach Baliye 8, the lovely duo, Divyanka Tripathi and
Vivek Dahiya packed their bags and headed to the romantic land of Italy to
unwind.
While Divyanka gave a sneak peek of her holiday to fans
via social media, SpotboyE.com had a quick chat with the TV queen on
Friday and got all the details about her vacation straight from the
horse’s mouth.
Excerpts from the conversation that followed:
Why did u think of a holiday?
Vivek and I had promised ourselves a holiday after Nach Baliye 8 ends. It was much deserved and also, it was our 1st marriage anniversary.
You chose Italy as your destination, which all places did you cover there?
We went to Taormina in Sicily, Amalfi Coast, Positano and a bit of Capri.
So, where did you enjoy the most? Which was the most romantic place?
Taormina was absolutely romantic. It had dimly lit streets, old architecture, live music, lemon trees and of course, the sea. The driveway was really narrow, picturesque and relaxing.
One doesn’t usually feel like coming back from such a beautiful place, what did you feel while packing your bags?
Well, on our way back, we were happy and content. That’s what we wanted. We have slogged a lot and wanted to enjoy post all the hard work. So, we came back refreshed.
Any specific shopping you did for yourselves?
We barely shopped. This time it was more about relaxing. We shopped a lot during our honeymoon in Europe. We had to buy an extra bag to fit in all that we bought. In fact, we couriered a bag from there to India as our luggage was overweight. So, this time we decided we will travel light. I just bought a few bags for myself, while Vivek picked up a few shoes.
One memory which you cannot erase from this holiday?
The rising sun and the reflection of moon at the Amalfi coast water- it’s
beautiful! The entire scene is so picturesque that I can never erase it off my
mind.
How did it feel when you entered the sets (Yeh Hai Mohabbatein) after the
holiday?
I was relaxed when I came back. There was nothing running through my mind,
which is quite unusual. I was ready for the grind and all set to face the
camera. It was a wonderful trip and it did what it was meant to do- make me
happy.
