Bollywood and Television actor Eijaz Khan recently participated in the biggest reality show, Bigg Boss 14. The actor turned out to be one of the extremely popular contestants inside. However, due to his prior commitments, he had to come out of the show midway.
Eijaz, while his journey inside, had revealed that he is going through a tough time on professional front. However, actor now accepts that his journey has helped him to start his new innings.
In an exclusive video interview with us, Eijaz not only revealed the kind of projects being offered to him but also made his most candid confession of playing a villain opposite Salman Khan. Read on;
After Bigg Boss 14, is more work being offered to you?
I don't know yet if after doing reality shows you start getting work in the acting space but other reality shows do get offered and I have already been receiving such offers.
Did your journey inside Bigg Boss house help you on the professional front?
After seeing me in Bigg Boss, the misunderstandings about me which industry people had, like ye apne aap ko kya samajhta hai? ye arrogant hai!, I think those misunderstandings have been cleared. They now know what sort of a person I am in real life. Aur mujhe gussa kaise aata hai? kyun aata hai? aur kab aata hai vo bhi samajh chuke hain? So, I am happy that people have changed their view points towards me. And I think because of that industry is definitely showering more love on me.
What sort of characters have been offered to you?
Strong roles are being offered to me. Like a police officer and negative roles. I may pick up the negative roles but also see with which roles I would be able to do justice. I want to be part of as many OTT films, series and films.
Do you feel that doing negative characters may typecast you in that category?
Not at all. In fact, I enjoy doing negative roles. I think such characters give a kick to me. So, if I get to play a villain again, I would love to do it. In fact, I want to do a negative lead opposite Salman bhai.
Did you tell him about this since you just met him?
Nahi! There is a proper protocol. I just can't go like that and tell him Salman Bhai I want to work with you as a villain. I am sure if he will feel someday that I am capable of playing that role, he will definitely tell me.
But the kind of respect you have for him in real life, will you be able to fight with him on-screen?
Karna to padega na (laughs). I really love him a lot since the time I danced behind him. I admire him so much that sometime in my life when I have to take any decision, I think Salman Bhai is situation mein hote to kya karte, aur main wahin karta hoon. He has been my idol since I was 20. I love the fact that through Bigg Boss, I got a chance to be with him again and I would love to continue this ahead also.
