Kritika Kamra has always fought shy of interviews especially when it comes to matters of heart. But SpotboyE.com had a long chat with her the other evening, wherein she emphatically denied that her boyfriend Uday Singh Gauri and she have got engaged.

For what? 

For getting engaged...
Says who? And when did this happen?

It happened few days ago. Many portals went berserk in reporting that Uday Singh Gauri and you got engaged, and wedding bells in the offing soon. 
But someone has to confirm that, na?

Which is why we are asking you...
I am not engaged. Happy happenings are meant to be proudly declared. Why would I hide it if I had got engaged? Whenever I get engaged, I shall announce it.

Tell us your love story with Uday Singh Gauri...
It's not so dramatic.

But Uday and you are together.
Well, I have known him for quite some time now. The moment I have something concrete, something like a stamp- I will talk. 

And both of you are very happy with each other? 
I am very happy with myself (laughs).

That's the same thing, isn't it?
(Laughs).

No opposition from both families, right? 
Who opposes these days? These discussions are not happening. 

So what have you been doing Kritika, these days?
Reading several scripts. Currently, there's a lot of good work coming my way.

What happened to the film you were supposed to do with Ekta Kapoor?
It didn't happen and I really don't know the reason in detail. It had started to be called Badtameez Dil, and I think that title was stemming more from Ranbir Kapoor's song.


On a lighter note, I think you should go to Ekta and ask her to compensate...
(Laughs). Well, we are in touch. In fact, I was supposed to be at her Diwali bash- but had to dash off home to MP to be with my parents for some time.

Are you happy with your last film Mitron?
I think it should have been marketed better but then who am I to really judge? I don't call the shots. And trust me, whatever the box-office returns it fetched- I am very proud of the film. It's now available on Amazon Prime.

Hmmm... Open to doing more web content?
If something good comes my way, why not?

Some of the recent web shows have had bold scenes over the top. Ready for that? Frankly, I don't think that's a criterion that should hold you back. At the end of the day, you are an actor...
Right.

My personal opinion: Going by your face, makers might not be offering you those rustic roles wherein you need to go not only just bold in actions but bold in words as well...
(Laughs) Right. But you know what? All that kind of stuff is fine as long as it is really integral to the script. I don't want to do anything for just the heck of it.

Either way, I am waiting for an offer- film or web show- that blows my mind away.
