Molkki Actress Priyal Mahajan Opens Up On Contracting Coronavirus Along With Amar Upadhyay: 'We Were Shooting In Close Proximity'- EXCLUSIVE
In the second wave of Coronavirus, a lot of celebrities have been infected. A few hours ago, it was reported that TV show Molkki's main lead actors Priyal Mahajan and Amar Upadhyay have tested positive a week back due to which a major twist planned by the makers for them in the show has been delayed.

Now, Priyal has spoken to SpotboyE.com exclusively and for the first time she opened up about her and Amar's health ever since they have tested positive for COVID-19. Here's what she informed us;

When did you test positive for COVID-19?
It's been nine days that I have tested positive for COVID-19.

Do you have any symptoms?
I don't have any symptoms but I am taking all the medication and precautions suggested by the doctor.

When are you going to have your next test?
On coming Wednesday, I will be going to do my next test as 14 days will be completed.

Where are you staying right now?
Right now, I have self-isolated myself in my room and my mother is here to take care of me and due to God's grace she is all well.

How are you spending your quarantine time?
I am watching a lot of content in terms of films and series on various platforms. I am not a big fan of reading books but I am trying to read a book.

Other than medication, what else are you doing to get well soon?
I am doing breathing exercises. Though I don't have fever or any other symptoms right now but sometimes I feel exhausted because of which I have to do this breathing exercise.

Did you get scared after knowing you have contracted the virus?
Honestly, I wasn't expecting my results to come positive. Because before this also, I had tested myself for it a lot of times and every time I was negative. Some of my friends earlier tested positive and because of that I had gone for my precautionary tests and every time I tested negative. So, this time also I was expecting the same as I somewhere thought that my immunity is good enough. However, when I learned that this time I have tested positive, I actually panicked. The lab guy who informed me about it, I kept asking him again and again, 'are sure I am positive?'

What had made you go for the test this time?
So, I had mild fever while I was shooting for my show Molkki. I immediately went to my doctor and took medicines after which I was feeling completely fine. Still the next day I got my tests done for dengue, malaria and of course coronavirus. All my tests came negative but my COVID-19 report was positive.

After you, your co-star Amar Upadhyay also tested positive...
Yes, after me testing positive for it, I immediately informed the production house and they got tests done of the entire unit and everyone came out negative. Also, Amar Sir tested negative for the first time but then in second time he also came out positive. Unka dusra report positive aaya. Maybe he contracted the virus because of me because we have been shooting almost everyday and the day I felt the symptoms, we had shot for a sequence in close proximity. However, I stopped shooting for the show the very next day.

How is he now, are you in touch?
He is also asymptomatic and doing fine. We are in touch with each other.

Some major twist of you guys in the show has been delayed because of this reason...
Yes. A very interesting track was supposed to get introduced and we were excited for it. We had something for holi and after holi. Because of COVID it has been postponed as of now. I am just hoping we two get well soon and can go back on the sets as I am missing everyone. I can't wait to see them.

Do you think going on sets and working in this scenario is right?
I know cases are increasing here and night curfews have been introduced again. But you can't stop working. Because the struggle we all faced last year because of lockdown, I believe working is must. However, we can't ignore the virus and we have to take all the precautions to stay safe.
