In a candid chat with SpotboyE.com, the TV heartthrob
opened up about his future plans, girlfriend Kanchi Singh and a lot more. Excerpts:
You have a massive fan following among women. How does
your girlfriend Kanchi Singh respond to that?
People have started liking me more after Bigg Boss 10.
Fans used to travel from different parts of the country to meet me. Kanchi is
possessive but being an actor herself, she understands. Many boys come to her
too to click pictures.

In a recent photo shoot you experimented with your look. Are you trying to break away from the chocolate boy image?
The audience has always seen me with a clean-shaven look and being a TV actor, you don’t get much time to experiment. But this time I wanted to change my look. The photo shoot pictures got a good response from fans.
What kind of roles are you looking for? Will your next move surprise your fans?
I got so many offers after Bigg Boss 10. I am reading scripts for movies and I was also offered reality TV shows. Also I got an offer to host a TV show. I am still in talks so I cannot announce anything. I played Naksh, a young boy and adarsh beta in Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. And in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, I had a negative role. Now I want to try something different.

TV stars are going bold these days, be it web series or photo shoots. What is your take on this trend?
If it’s a big banner film and the script demands such a scene, then why not? I have worked in movies like Uuva and Sixteen which had bold concepts. There were no kissing scenes and whatever bold scenes were shot were done with cheat shooting. And I would prefer that.
Do you discuss your work with Kanchi ?
Yes we always discuss our work and Kanchi gives me good suggestions.
Will Kanchi be OK with you doing a sexy scene?
Pehle film to milne do, phir dekhte hain. I think she will understand because even she is an actor.

How are you planning to take this relationship forward?
I never hid my relationship with Kanchi. We keep posting our pictures together and we used to give media bytes together. Everyone knew about this relationship.
When and how did love happen?
Kanchi auditioned for a role opposite me in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. But things didn't work out and someone else was selected. But after 6 months, she came back and started shooting as Gayu. We started spending more time together and we realised that we like each other.
Who calls the shots in the relationship?
No one is dominating. We listen to each other and also understand each other.
