TV heartthrob Karan Singh Grover and Sagarika Ghatge who are currently seen together on the web show, Boss: Baap Of Special Services, exclusively spoke to SpotboyE.com and spilled the beans on who’s the real boss at home
Television heartthrob Karan Singh Grover and Sagarika Ghatge starrer Boss: Baap Of Special Services is already streaming on ALTBalaji. Their characters of Carbon Sudhir Kohli aka The #BOSS Keshav Pandit and ACP Sakshi Ranjan are being loved by the audience. The thriller drama which has the backdrop of Shimla where these officers are seen investigating the increasing crime rates has kept the viewers glued. In the show, the two have definitely proved themselves to be the bosses, but do you know in real life who is the boss in their house? We asked the duo some interesting questions during promotions. Watch what they had to say.
What convinced you both to take up these characters?
Karan: See, the character is a mix of lot of things and all those things are very nice. Plus, there is a back-story to him which has layers and I like playing layered characters. So that was more than enough for me to say a yes.
Sagarika: This is for the first time that I am playing a cop. So, it is very exciting for me. My character is of a lady who is a complete ‘no nonsense’ kind of a person. It’s a great character to mark your digital debut with.
Why did you guys choose Boss: Baap Of Special Services for your debut?
Karan: I was offered around 5000 shows and I rejected them to take this up (laughs). I was supposed to do Judaai but that did not happen and now I know why it didn't happen because I was destined to do this.
Sagarika: I also feel just like every show has its own fate in terms of that, how actors are going to be and I think this show was meant to happen with us so that we two can also start our journeys on the digital space.
The show is titled as Boss: Baap Of Special Services. Well, in real life, in which situation would you call yourself as the baap?
Sagarika: In winning an argument.
Karan: You? I never win any argument.
Sagarika: I like to believe so.
Karan: So you are the baap of arguments?
Sagarika: I don't know (laughs).
Karan: I am the baap in staring without blinking.
Sagarika: Even I can beat you in that.
Who is the real boss in your family?
Karan: Bipasha, obviously because if the lady is not the boss in your family toh aapka ghar barbaad hone wala hai matlab aapko kuch nahi pata life mein.
Sagarika: Would you like to believe me? I also think the same; ideally that should be the criteria for everybody, not only for him or my house but everywhere.
Any incident you two want to share that happened in Shimla and which viewers will not get to see on the show?
Karan: There is one moment where we witnessed a full moon. I have seen a full moon many times, but I have never seen a moon rising from mountains like a sun. And believe me, it was an extremely beautiful thing to see and it was so close to us.
Sagarika: And it was so funny for me because everybody is busy watching it and I am telling them it’s nothing but just lights coming up because it was so bright suddenly.
Karan: Yes, I remember that. In fact, when I sent a picture to Bipasha also, she was like is it a moon or a sun?
Sagarika, how was it working with Karan, considering your character isn’t too fond of him on the show?
Sagarika: He is very sweet yaar! Whoever is going to work with him on his next show will be very lucky as he is a good co-star.
Karan: Stop ruining my image dude! I am not sweet at all. I am very bad.
Karan, any compliments for the lady as well...
Karan: She is awesome to be around and work with. She is very sweet and professional. Always does everything right! Whoever will work with her next will be very lucky. But you won't get a chance because we are working together next.
In real life, if you get a chance to arrest someone, who would it be and why?
Karan: I am Bachelors in hotel management and I didn't know that I could be a cop.
Sagarika: I would arrest Ayaz, my co-star (laughs)
Karan: Why would you arrest him? Poor bechara, you will not get anything. You can arrest Tarun, he is already in your giraft.
Sagarika: I know it was a bad joke. I think have arrested a lot of people in the show. So, I just like to chill.
Karan: I will arrest all the child molesters of every country and kill them.
Karan, what kind of response are you receiving for playing Mr. Bajaj in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2?
It’s good that everyone is liking the way I play Bajaj, so what all I am receiving is lots of love.
Sagarika, did you like him as Mr. Bajaj?
I have seen all his videos on Instagram and he is looking very nice.
