It looks like there’s no end to all controversies for the streaming giant Netflix, which has given some of the most popular web series to its viewers. It turns out that shows like Sacred Games, Ghoul and Leila haven’t gone down well a lot of people, as they are accusing the makers of hurting Hindu sentiments by portraying the religion in a poor light. And in order to express their anger towards the same and demanding for a ban on Netflix in India, a lot of netizens are trending the hashtag #BanNetflixInIndia on Twitter. “Dear Hindus, we need to make sure Anti Hindu mafia nexus Like Netflix is Banned in India. They have been provoking Hindus From a long time. IPC Section 295A breach is seen on Netflix Platform which is anon-bailable & non-compoundable offence. #BanNetflixInIndia," wrote a user. 

They also criticised the makers of Sacred Games, Leila and Ghoul and accused them of producing anti-Hindi content to spread propaganda and hatred. It was also reported that Ramesh Solanki, a Hindu activist and a member of the IT cell of political party Shiv Sena, had filed a police complaint against the streaming giant, accusing them of promoting Hinduphobic content. Now, taking to his Twitter account, Ramesh Solanki has shared a copy of his police complaint. Check it out below:


While speaking to a daily, Solanki accused them of producing such shows with an intention to ‘defame Hindus’. He said, “Almost every series on Netflix India is with the intention to defame Hindus. They are putting out content that's portraying our nation in a bad light and it is being done in the name of freedom of expression.”
