Aaditya Thackeray On Reinvestigation Of Disha Salian’s Suicide: Was In The Hospital To Visit My Grandfather When She Died
Maharashtra’s Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis announced a special investigation team to further probe into Disha Salian’s suicide case
Famous celebrity manager Disha Salian lost her life on June 2020. If reports from the Mumbai Police, who were investigating the case, are to be believed, she had slipped from her apartment’s balcony while being intoxicated. It’s been more than 2 years now and lately, her death appears to be used for political agendas.
Recently, Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavisa announced that special investigation team (SIT) will further investigate her death case as it didn’t get any closure. Reacting to the same, Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA and former minister Aaditya Thackeray has now broken his silence. On Friday, through a statement her shared that he was visiting his maternal grandfather in the hospital at the time of Disha’s death. Quoted by Free Press Journal, he said, “’I was in the hospital when Disha Salian died. My grandfather (my mother’s father) was undergoing treatment in the hospital and I was present there.” The 32-year-old’s name has been dragged through the mud, whenever Disha and actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s deaths have been brought up.
Aaditya expressed that no matter how many allegations the ruling Balasahebanchi Shiv Sena and BJP make against him, the truth will come out. He even dared the Shinde-Fadnavis government to conduct as many investigations as they want. He said in his statement, “’A 32-year-old youth has moved the government. This is an attempt to save the Chief Minister. Will you tolerate the defamation of your children? For the unversed, during the Winter session of the State Legislature in the Vidhan Sabha, on Thursday, Fadnavis had announced that SIT will probe into the death of the late celebrity manager. He had further added that, “Nobody will be targeted in this case. The probe will be free and fair and will take place on basis of new evidence.”
BJP MLA Nitesh Rane had gone on to demand a Narco test on the young politician. Quoted by The Hindu, he had said, “Whenever this case come up, Aaditya Thackeray’s name crops up. There are so many leaders in Maharashtra, but their names do not come up. This indicates that something is fishy.”
