The ‘Baba Ka Dhaba’ food stall in Delhi became extremely popular after food blogger Gaurav Wasan posted a video, sharing a heart-wrenching story of an 80-year-old owner and his wife struggling to make ends meet during the tough times of the Coronavirus pandemic. Many celebrities re-posted the video and in no time the clip was viral. On social media, several celebrities requested fans to go check the food stall and thousand flocked to the Dhaba to do their bit. But, unfortunately, Dhaba owner Baba, Kanta Prasad filed a complaint against Gaurav Wasan.
In a video shared on Instagram, Elderly Baba Ka Dhaba owner addressed the donation issue with his lawyer. The video sees Baba addressing the media with folded hands. He expressed his disappointment over the fact that at 80-years of age, he has to listen to people accusing him that he is a greedy person. The Baba cried inconsolably and expressed his grief over the harsh comments that many have made against him after he filed the complaint against blogger Gaurav Wasan. Baba aka Kanta Prasad mentioned how even today, he wakes up at 6 in the morning and heads to his stall to work hard. He said that he is not greedy for money.
Baba addressed how people have been speculating that he is greedy, his Dhaba has been shut down, or he was arrested by the police. Crying his heart out while talking to the media, Baba asked if this is all that he gets to hear after working hard, at the age of 80. During the press conference, Baba’s lawyer also explained what the elderly had to share. He mentioned how Baba is upset over being called a greedy person.
Meanwhile, Baba filed a complaint against food blogger Gaurav Wasan and accused him of defrauding funds that came in for the elderly couple. Baba recently alleged that Wasan siphoned off a huge sum of money that was sent to him by people from across all India, to help the needy couple during their times of distress. Speaking with SpotboyE.com exclusively, Wasan said that he is upset and hurt by Baba’s allegations.
