From Raj Kapoor to Yashraj and from Yashraj to Imtiaz Ali and the filmmakers of this era; counts on locations for presenting their stories. To unwind the shooting locations and hidden trivias of Bollywood film, Director Shashank Mane has conceptualize an interesting Bollywood cum travel show “Bollylands.com” where they explore the locations in India and abroad which have been featured in Bollywood movies. The show, unfolds the trivia, fun facts and behind the scene stories of movies. Apart from Bollywood locations, the show also featured some of the unexplored locations in the city, which can be a destination for upcoming films.
Bollylands.com has successfully completed four seasons so far, where in season 1 they explored some parts of Europe. In season 1, the show was hosted by Ridhima Pathak, who is a renowned sports presenter. She was an official host for Hotstar, during 2019 Cricket Worldcup and face for Sony on several sports occasions.
Taking forward the Bollywood journey in season 2, they landed in Dubai and Abu Dhabi which is renowned as a second home to Bollywood. Dubai and Abu Dhabi, together have hosted movies like Dabangg, Welcome, Welcome back, Baby, Tigar Zinda hai, Bang Bang, Race , Race 3 and so on. Apart from that many Bollywood celebrities own real estate properties in these cities. So this time, the viewers will hear some amazing facts which they have never heard before. In season 2, they also explored various restaurants in Dubai which are the favourites of Indian Celebrities. The face for season 2 is Prajakta Mali who is a known actress in Marathi Film & Television Industry. She has played a lead character in various popular Marathi Serials. Show is currently streaming on Zee 5 and MX player and is trending as a popular travel show in India. In IMDB, the show is trending at top 10 in Bollywood popularity.
The makers of Bollylands.com have revealed that their team is working on future seasons and soon the viewers will enjoy watching it on OTT. Season 5 of the show will be based on several cities in Maharashtra and the team will be soon seen, on ground shooting for it. The whole intent is to show good content and encourage Travel and Bollywood industry. As per the industry stalwarts like Anees Bazmee, Ali Abas Zafar, Bosco Martis, Kabir Khan; this show is going to boost the economy of the respective country where they visit, as it is boosting the Travel and India Cinema there. During corona crises, we shot a successful season in London but once the situation settles down across the globe, we will explore more cities and counties for our viewers. We have Asian countries like Maldives, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Europe-US in our travel list. Few unexplored countries like Malta, Azerbaijan, Fiji, are also there in our travel list.
