Last week, the WHO declared the deadly virus as 'pandemic' due to a large number of people losing their lives. With the virus spreading at lightning speed in India as well, the India VS South Africa ODI series matches were called off by the BCCI as well the start dates of the IPL 2020 have been postponed. Now, Indian cricketer, Rohit Sharma has shared a special message for all his fans and asked them to stay safe.
On Instagram, Rohit Sharma shared a special message for all his fans asking them to stay safe. In the video message, the Indian cricketer shared how he just wants to talk about a few things with all his fans around the world. Sharma said, “Last few weeks have been tough times for all us and the world has come to a standstill, which is very very sad to see.” The cricketer added, “And the only way to get back to normal is that all of us coming together, and how we can do that is by being a little smart, little proactive, knowing our surroundings, and if you get any symptoms, informing your nearest medical authorities.”
Asking fans all over to stay safe and be a little smart, Rohit Sharma went on to mention his reasons. He said, “Because we all want kids to go the school, we all want to go to the malls, we all want to go to watch movies in theatres.” The cricketer mentioned how he appreciates the effort of the doctors and nurses around the world who have put their lives at risk by taking care of the people who have been tested positive.
Finally, concluding his message for all the fans around, Rohit Sharma said that in the end, his heart goes out to the people who have lost their lives and their families. The Indian cricketer then went on to request fans to stay safe and take care of themselves.
