Cricketer Irfan Pathan All Set To Be An Actor Now; To Debut In A Tamil Film As A Cop
After a successful career as an Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan will step into the entertainment world. The actor will make his acting debut in the Tamil film tentatively titled as Vikram 58. The Indian pacer has kick-started the shoot of the movie from October 4, 2019
Indian pacer Irfan Pathan is all set to enter a new arena. After OUT!, HATTRICK ! and BOUNDARY!, the Indian cricketer will get use to the terms Lights, Camera and Action! Surprised? Don't be because as per the latest reports, Irfan will be stepping into the entertainment world; marking his acting debut with a regional film. As per reports in an online portal, he will be making his debut as an actor with a Tamil film tentatively titled Vikram 58. Directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, the film has already gone on floors from October 4, 2019.
Portraying a key role in the movie he is reported to play a police officer in the movie. The actor said to Sportstar, thehindu.com, “When the director approached me, my first question was, ‘Why me?’. He explained that the role suited me perfectly and that they were keen on casting me.” Though the cricketer also expressed of being sceptical about acting in the films, but was later convinced and finally gave a nod to the film. “It took me a little time to make up my mind. And once I was convinced, I gave a go-ahead. I have never acted in a film before, so yeah, it is a new challenge.”
The movie has two big names attached to it which compelled Irfan to say yes. South star Vikram is already being roped in to play a lead role and Oscar-winning music composer A R Rahman’s association with the project.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared a video on his Instagram handle announcing this big news. The video is a creative presentation of his profession so far and new horizon being introduced at the end of the video.
