Dhanashree Verma Breaks Silence On Cheating Allegations, Says Rumours Spread To Silence Her After Divorce From Yuzvendra Chahal

Dhanashree Verma has responded to rumours that she cheated on her ex-husband, cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, calling them nothing more than “negative PR.” Verma, who married Chahal in December 2020 and divorced by mutual consent in February 2025, addressed these allegations during her time on the reality show Rise And Fall. 

In one episode, her fellow contestant Arbaz Patel brought up gossip suggesting she might have been unfaithful. Dhanashree replied sharply: “Woh toh failayenge na, faltu baat. Unko darr hai na ke main munh na khol do toh dabayenge na. Main bata doongi na ek-ek baat, aapko yeh show peanuts lagega.” In essence, she claimed that such rumours are spread to silence her, and that if she spoke out about everything, the show would seem trivial in comparison. 

Patel also purportedly told her that he is aware of Chahal’s current girlfriend, speculated to be RJ Mahvash. Dhanashree declined to comment on that, saying: “Yeh sab jo divorce ki baatein chal rahi hain, vo bilkul hi banai gayi cheezein hain. Maine usko already peeche chhod diya hai.” She stressed she has already moved on.

Earlier on the show, speaking with Nayandeep Rakshit, Dhanashree spoke about respect and responsibility in marriage. She said, “Sabke haath mein apni izzat hoti hai. When you are in a marriage, and when you are responsible, you also have to keep the other person’s respect in your hands. Ja kar mein bhi disrespect kar sakti thi? I don’t have the right to say things as a woman?” She also asked why anyone would put someone else down to polish their own image, adding that no matter how much negative PR is generated about her, it won’t help anyone: “Image kyu clean karni hai, koi kuch bol hi nahi raha hai.
