Did England Cricketer Ben Stokes Actually Choke And Throttle His Wife Clare Stokes? Lady Has Something To Say
During Professional Cricketers’ Association Awards party, some pictures of Ben Stokes throttling his wife surfaced on the internet, which went viral. However, putting all the speculations to rest, Clare Stokes denied such claims and called them ‘nonsense’
Well, we all know how action and pictures speak louder than words and that was has happened with Vice-Captain of the England Cricket team, Ben Stokes and Clare Stokes. Recently, the duo attended Professional Cricketers’ Association Awards prize-giving party and the whole fiasco started from that event. During the PCA party, an incident happened between Mr and Mrs which was then captured in the camera which saw them fighting over something. Though no reason was revealed behind their argument, the pictures certainly went viral especially one where Ben was seen grabbing Clare’s neck.
While it was speculated that Ben Stokes was seen throttling his wife and it was also reported that the people around the couple too confirmed the same, Clare Stokes, on the other hand, dismissed these claims and called it ‘nonsense.’ At least that’s what her recent post tells us. Clare shared a similar picture of Clare face-grabbing her hubby’s face and explained that that’s how they show affection to each other by squishing each other faces. Not only this, her post also revealed that 20 mins later, the two went for a romantic dinner in McDonald's.
While sharing the picture on her Instagram handle, she wrote a long note which read, “Unbelievable what nonsense these people will make up! Me and Ben messing about squishing up each other’s faces cos that’s how we show affection and some pap tries to twist it into a crazy story! And all before we then have a romantic McDonalds 20 mins later! @stokesy.”

In a statement to the Mirror UK, Ben said that he is used to people making stuff up about him and domestic abuse tops the list. The statement also had him talking about the incredibly serious issue for domestic abuse against women. He then concluded it by saying that his wife Clare is a strong, independent woman who can speak for herself and that he is lucky to have her in his life.
