Indian cricketers getting hitched to actresses have sorts of became a trend in the industry, a successful one. It started with Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi - Sharmila Tagore, followed by Virat Kohli - Anushka Sharma and Yuvraj Singh – Hazel Keech. And, now, carrying forward the trend is Indian cricketer Manish Pandey, who got married to the love of his life and actress Ashrita Shetty amid a lavish ceremony in Mumbai. A couple of pictures from the same have surfaced online and the newly-wedded couple looks heavenly!

Interestingly, the lovebirds tied the knot hours after Manish Pandey, on Sunday, led from the front to help Karnataka retain the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy in Surat. Post his win, the cricketer had expressed his excitement on getting married. He said in his statement, “Looking forward to the India series, but before that, there is another important series for me, I am getting married tomorrow.” For the big day, Ashrita looked stunning in a red and golden Kanjivaram saree, while Manish complemented her in a beige coloured suit with golden embroidery on it.

Talking about Ashrita Shetty, she is originally a Tamil actress, who hails from Mumbai. She has been a part of several Tamil films. She became a household name after starring Udhayam NH4 opposite Siddharth and has also worked in successful films like Indrajith and Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavanigalum among many others. Manish Pandey, on the other hand, is also a player of IPL’s popular team Sunrisers Hyderabad.
