PTI reported that after waiting for updates regarding IPL 2020 since months now, the Indian Premier League is set to start on September 19. On Twitter, the news agency tweeted, “Indian Premier League to start on September 19 in the UAE with final slated on November 8: IPL Chairman Brijesh Patel tells PTI. #IPL”
As per the report, the Indian Premier League will start from September 19, 2020, in the UAE. The IPL 2020 will be held in the UAE. IPL Chairman Brijesh Patel informed that with IPL 2020 happening in UAE, the finals will be held in November. With IPL 2020 starting in September, the finals are slated to be held nearly over a month later on November 8.

Meanwhile, before the pandemic, IPL 2020 was scheduled to commence on March 29, 2020, and was later said to be postponed to October-November, if ICC possibly shifts T20 World Cup. The cricket tournament that was supposed to happen in March 2020, is the most-watched annual tournament played in India, which sees players from various countries, clubbed together to play representing different states of the country.
