Now, his fans have jumped to his rescue and are trending #IStandWithAnuragKashyap instead, for raising his voice and showing solidarity with JNU studentsThe brutal attack on students in JNU, on Sunday, sparked outrage and left the nation shocked by the violence displayed. Hundreds of people hit the streets and gathered to protest, condemning the violence. Bollywood celebrities also showed solidarity with the students and while Riteish Deshmukh, Rajkummar Rao, Swara Bhasker tweeted against it, Dia Mirza, Anurag Kashyap, Taapsee Pannu, and others joined the peaceful protest held in Carter Road, Mumbai. Now, Anurag Kashyap’s fans have jumped to his rescue and are trending #IStandWithAnuragKashyap instead, for raising his voice and showing solidarity with JNU students. People had been furious with Bollywood celebrities for not speaking up on important issues and now, those supporting Anurag Kashyap stood by him for being one of the few famous personalities who raised his voice against the JNU attack.
