Kangana Ranaut On Silence Over CAA: Bollywood Is Just Good Enough For 'Instagram Posts And Drug Parties'
Trust Kangana Ranaut to brew a storm, every time she makes a statement and that is exactly what has just happened. At present, the country is divided over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), while some have supported it, a lot of commoners and celebrities have been openly raising their voices in the form of protests or long social media posts. And, unsurprisingly, Kangana Ranaut belongs to the former category. In a conversation with ETimes, the Judgementall Hai Kya actress seemed to be in the mood of taking ‘Panga’ with her favourite B-townies, as she slammed them like there’s no tomorrow.

The actress was quizzed about the silence that has been maintained by Bollywood celebrities, despite #ShameOnBollywood being a top trend on Twitter. In her response, Kangana called them shameless and cowards. “The actors should be ashamed of themselves. I have no illusions about the fact that Bollywood is full of cowards who are full of themselves. All they do is just look into the mirror 20 times a day and when they're asked they say we have electricity and we have access to everything, we are privileged, why should we be bothered about the country,” said the actress. As per Kangana Ranaut, Bollywood celebs aren’t a soft target; however, they have made the nation a soft target instead. Referring to them as ‘sissies,’ Kangana stated that these celebs, as per her, are scared of getting trolled over their opinions and that they don’t deserve such strong platforms like social media. “Actors need to be answerable and they need to justify their position, their power. Is this power given to them to do Instagram posts and to do drug parties?” she added. Umm, Kangana also accused certain stars of making ‘atrocious’ films and killing genuine cinema. She further used terms like ‘spineless’, ‘bully’.

“They are just social media, whatever makeup and clothes posts that they do, pumping their muscles in the gym the whole day. That's who they are. If we have the clarity of who they are, we will not be disappointed. So we need to have that clarity and we need to know who our real role models are,” concluded the actress.
