Veteran Kannada actor Krishna G Rao, who was widely known for his performance in KGF: Chapter 1, has passed away due to an age-related illness. Reportedly, he died on Wednesday, December 7, in Bangalore. Krishna was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital at midnight after he complained of exhaustion while on his way to a relative’s house. Krishna G Rao was treated in the ICU due to a lung infection but he succumbed to his illness.

The official Twitter handle of KGF film mourned the sad demise of the actor and shared a statement that read, “Condolences from Hombale film team on the passing away of Krishna G Rao, fondly known as Thatha by KGF fans. Om Shanti (sic).” Taking to the comments section of the post, many fans and netizens expressed their condolences. One Twitter user wrote, “May his soul rest in peace.” Another said, “a big loss.”
