KGF Fame Harish Rai Is Battling THROAT CANCER, Actor Reveals He Has No Money For Surgery: ‘I’m At Fourth Stage, Things Are Becoming Worse’
Actor Harish Rai has been a part of Kannada cinema for over 25 years and is known for his character artist roles. He gained fame and acknowledgment with his performance in the blockbuster film ‘KGF’. In a recent interview, Harish made a shocking revelation that he is battling throat cancer. The actor revealed he is suffering from cancer for the past three years and that he had no money for the surgery. 

Speaking with YouTuber Gopi Gowdru, Rai talked about his fight with throat cancer and revealed in order to hide swelling around his neck in KGF, he sported his bear that way. Harish Rai went on to reveal that his surgery was delayed because he did not have the money for it and now things have even gotten worse. The Dhan Dhana Dhan actor revealed that he is in the fourth stage now. “I put off my surgery because I didn’t have any money at first. I waited till the movies were released. Now that I’m at the fourth stage, things are becoming worse,” Harish Rai was quoted saying. Starring Yash in the lead role, KGF: Chapter 2 broke all records at the box office and become the highest-grossing film. Prashanth Neel’s directorial earned over Rs. 1200 crore at the box office. In the film, Harish was seen essaying the role of Khasim chacha, a father figure to Yash's character Rocky. Harish was also a part of KGF: Chapter 1, which was released in 2018. 

Apart from KGF, Rai is also known for his stint in films like ‘Bangalore Underworld’, ‘Dhan Dhana Dhan’, and ‘Nanna Kanasina Hoove.’
