Main Ek Baar Laapata Hona Chahata Hoon...': Abhishek Bachchan Shares Cryptic Post, Worried Fans Hope It's For A New Film
On June 18, Abhishek Bachchan took to social media with a deeply introspective and enigmatic note that stirred concern among fans. He wrote in Hindi: “Main ek baar laapata hona chahta hoon, bheed mein khud ko phir se paana chahta hoon. Jo kuch bhi tha, sab de diya apno ke liye, ab zara sa waqt, bas apne liye chahta hoon.”
In English, the message conveys: “I want to go missing once, to find myself again in a crowd. I’ve given everything for my loved ones; now, I just want a little time for myself.”
He captioned the post: “Kabhi kabhi khud se milne ke liye, sab se ‘missing’ hona padta hai,” a poetic reflection meaning, “Sometimes, to meet yourself, you must go missing from everyone.”
The post coincided with the success of his recent hit, Housefull 5, a star-studded ensemble cast feature, currently enjoying strong box office returns.
Fans and critics alike fell into two camps. Some expressed concern: “Kya hua brother? All okay?” “Why so senti?”
Others speculated it might be tied to his next project: “Hope this is just for any new film.”

That theory proved accurate. On June 19, Bachchan officially unveiled the first poster for his upcoming film Kalidhar Laapata, co-starring Nimrat Kaur, Zeeshan Ayyub, and a young boy named Daivik Baghela. Set to premiere on Zee 5 on July 4, the movie explores the emotional journey of an elderly man who chooses to go missing and unexpectedly forms a bond with an orphaned child, embarking together on a bucket‑list road trip.
Directed by Madhumita, the film premiered at the International Film Festival of South Asia in Toronto in 2024. Its storyline is described as a universal exploration of emotions that traverse age, geography, and social status.
While fans initially reacted with concern, the cryptic post was ultimately revealed as a teaser for a heartfelt, introspective project—one that asks us to consider what it truly means to lose and find oneself
