Mumbai police’s quirky posts have often grabbed everyone’s attention, but that does not mean the security officials aren’t concerned about Mumbaikar’s safety. They are regarded as one of the most powerful and efficient police forces in the country. Now, they have once again impressed the internet as the Mumbai Police took a humorous dig at comedian Atul Khatri after he mockey Mumbai’s new seat belt law.

On Tuesday, the Mumbai Police passed a new mandate which cited seatbelts as necessary for all drivers and passengers in Mumbai. While the tweet instantly went viral, Atul Khatri reacted to the tweet making fun of the law as he shared a picture of a man wearing a t-shirt with a seatbelt patch, suggesting that people should either wear seatbelts or buy seatbelt-designed t-shirts to avoid penalties.

His tweet read, "Mumbaikars! Please wear seat belts from today or buy this t-shirt."

Mumbai police instantly took cognizance of his tweet and they took to their official Twitter handle and wrote, "We shall keep them in stock for you, along with our challans. Your safety is never a joke! PS: If this ever will be the basis for a stand-up routine, ensure the message of safety is sent out as well. #WearYourSeatbelts."

Well, it seems Atul Khatri appreciated the Mumbai Police’s reply and considered the tweet in good humour. Responding to the official’s reply, he wrote, "Hahaha. Noted Sir."

Taking to the comments section they reacted to it and wrote, “This is tight slap on silly joke of @one_by_two Safety shall never be taken as a joke." Another user wrote, "Good humour.
