Odia singer-actress Ruchismita Guru has reportedly died by suicide at her uncle’s home in the Balangir district in Odisha. On Sunday, she was found dead under mysterious circumstances. Police suspect suicide as the investigation is underway. The exact reason for Ruchismita taking this extreme step is not revealed yet. This shocking news came when another Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey was found dead in a hotel room in Varanasi.
Reportedly, as soon as the local police were informed about Ruchismita’s death they reached the spot and seized the body for postmortem. During interrogation, the late actress’ mother revealed that she had a heated conversation with her daughter over the preparation of aloo paratha. She even mentioned that Ruchismita Guru had earlier too attempted suicide. As reported by Times Of India, Ruchismita suffered from depression and taking therapy from a private hospital in Bhubaneshwar. It is being reported that the locals have alleged there was a family dispute over Ruchismita’s affair with a young man. However, nothing is confirmed regarding this.
Ruchismita Guru was very active on social media as she often used to drop her pictures and videos. On the day of her death, she posted a video where she looked happy while doing mimicry. Her last Instagram post has taken the internet by storm with netizens mourning the sad demise of the actress.
Ruchismita hailed from the Sonepur district and used to live with her family in the Talpali area of Balangir Town. She is known for featuring in several Odia music videos and songs. She went to her uncle's house at Sudpada for a short vacation.
