Global sensation Priyanka Chopra has created quite the stir. She has once again given wind to the discussions about the unfair treatment of ‘outsiders’ in Bollywood by talking about how she had to get out of the industry. After Kangana Ranaut and filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri, Aligarh's scriptwriter Apurva Asrani has now heaped praises on her for speaking up. He called her achievement a massive win and remembered late actors Parveen Babi and Sushant Singh Rajput.

Sharing a tweet by a media publication, Asrani took to Twitter to hail the Citadel actress’ brave interview. He wrote, “Finally Priyanka Chopra reveals what everyone knew, but said not a word. Not the liberals, not the feminists. They hail those that ostracized her, celebrate the kings that tried to destroy her. For the unversed, Priyanka during her appearance on the podcast Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard she spoke about why she sought out the US when she had a well established career in Bollywood. The 40-year-old actress explained how she had people not wanting to cast her in projects, people who had beef with her. On the work front, Priyanka is all set to make her web-series debut with the Russo Brothers' Citadel. She has Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa, co-starring Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt, Love Again and Ending Things in her pipeline.
