She went on to state that she has started chemotherapy treatment. As reported by Zoom TV, the cancer was detected in January, after tests were conducted post-surgery.

On Friday, her official social handle took to X and shared a video of her sharing details about her diagnosis. For the unversed, the video was posted after weeks of speculations surrounding Kate’s health as she had not made a public appearance since Christmas. She started the video by expressing her gratitude for the support she received while she was recovering from the surgery. Middleton stated it has been “an incredibly tough couple of months,” for her entire family.

Shedding light on her health, she stated that her medical team advised her to “undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.” talking about her recovery journey and informing her kids about the same, quoted by Zoom, she added, “As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment. But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be OK.”

She concluded the video by stating, “At this time, I am also thinking of all those whose lives have been affected by cancer. For everyone facing this disease, in whatever form, please do not lose faith or hope. You are not alone.”

It is to be noted that this shocking news comes after King Charles III was also diagnosed with cancer. According to multiple media reports, he caught an unspecified type of cancer which was detected when he was undergoing a procedure for a benign enlarged prostate.
