Ratan Tata's Niece, Maya Tata - The Youngest Successor Of Tata Group: Here’s All You Need To Know About Her Education, Qualifications, Background And More!
Ratan Tata, an Indian industrialist and the former chairman of Tata Sons, is one of the most celebrated businessmen in the world. He was born to Naval and Soonoo Tata on December 28, 1937, and is known for his philanthropic works. He was honoured with Padma Vibhushan (2008) and Padma Bhushan (2000), and served as the Chairman of the Tata Group from 1990 to 2012.

In November 2022, the 154-year-old Tata Group witnessed the induction of three millennials into the board of the group’s philanthropic organisation.

The millennials were - Ratan Tata’s half-brother, Noel Tata’s kids, Neville Tata, Leah Tata and Maya Tata. Ratan Tata himself groomed the three siblings and the youngest of them all, Maya Tata, is the youngest successor of the Tata Group and she has been decorating the headlines for all the right reasons.

However, many have been wondering about her background. To put an end to your curiosity here’s all you need to know about her:

The younger daughter of Noel Tata and Aloo Mistry, Maya is one of the few lesser-known names of the Tata family. The new age analytics and technology has always piqued her interest, which is why she joined Tata Digital, which recently launched Tata Neu App.

A source close to the development said, “Maya, being a youngster with considerable interest in new age analytics and technology, has been moved to Tata Digital.”

Just like her siblings, Maya has worked in different capacities at the Tata Group.

Maya completed her education at the University of Warwick, UK, and Bayes Business School. She started her career with Tata Opportunities Fund, which was the oldest private equity fund of the Tata Group.

According to Economic Times, Maya used to handle portfolio management and investor relations at the Tata Opportunities Fund until its closure. Following its closure, Maya Tata moved to Tata Digital as her father, Noel Tata was keen for her to stay in the group. It was when the company launched the Tata Neu app, designed to offer its customers an extensive shopping experience.

Recently, the youngest successor of the Tata Family was appointed as one of the trustees of Tata Medical Center Trust, along with her siblings, Neville and Leah. The Trust runs the Kolkata Cancer Hospital, which Ratan Tata started in May 2011.
