RRR: Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt And Ajay Devgn Starrer Postponed Again, Confirms Director SS Rajamouli
After Baahubali, SS Rajamouli decided to come up with another magnum-opus - RRR. The film starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR is reportedly being made on the budget of Rs 350 crore breaking all the records of the films made previously on a high budget. Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn too have pivotal roles to play in this film. However, for all those fans who are desperately waiting to watch this marvel made by Rajamouli, here's a sad piece of news for you. The film has been postponed due to the outbreak of Coronavirus.

The lockdown has brought a halt to the shooting of all the films and TV shows, and Rajamouli's RRR too has been affected by it. In a webinar with Film Companion, the director confirmed that the schedule of the film has been affected and hence the release of RRR has been postponed. The film was supposed to release in July this year, however, the makers postponed it to January 2021. Now, due to the lockdown, RRR has suffered its second postponement.

In the webinar, the filmmaker also spoke about the content that is being shown on OTT platforms and how it possesses a threat to the film industry. He said, "During the lockdown period, the people are showing the interest in watching content online and web series. They expect better content from the filmmakers than what’s available on OTT platforms.”

Further adding, “On OTT platforms, the films from various international languages are available and the audience have started to explore the innovative content from many languages. The Telugu filmmakers will now have to come up with interesting content." (Also Read: Ajay Devgn-Alia Bhatt's RRR's Full Form Is Raghupati Raghav Rajaram: SUSPENSE OUT?- EXCLUSIVE)
