In a shocking turn of events, Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey has committed suicide at a hotel in Banaras. As per the latest reports, the actress ended her life by hanging herself in one of the rooms of Hotel Sarnath. The reason behind her taking this extreme step is still unclear. The news of Akanksha’s tragic demise has sent shockwaves across the entire Bhojpuri cinema with rich tributes pouring in from fans and celebrities on social media. Akanksha, who hails from Uttar Pradesh, was very popular on TikTok and Instagram.
Confirming the news of her death, a source close to the actress revealed to Etimes, “It was her first day on the sets of the new film 'Nayak'. The makers were shooting in Varanasi. Today around 9 am when her makeup boy went to call her at her hotel, she was found dead in the room. She was shooting alongside Aklesh Verma.”
Akanksha Dubey recently made headlines for her love life. On Valentine's Day, she took everyone by surprise as she made her relationship official with co-star Samar Singh on the photo-sharing app. The late actress had shared a romantic picture of them, writing, “Happy valentines day.”
Work-wise, Akanksha was a popular face in the Bhojpuri industry and was loved for her dancing skills. She made her debut with the movie ‘Meri Jung Mera Faisla’ where she played a cameo role. She had also appeared in movies like Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan starrer Mujhse Shaadi Korogi and Saajan. Of late, she was busy shooting for her next film 'Mitti' with singer-actor Yash Kumar.
