Malayalam actor Sreenath Bhasi gets arrested on the complaint of a lady journalist during the promotions of his film ‘Chattambi’
Malayalam actor Sreenath Bhasi has landed in big trouble as he has been arrested on the complaint of a journalist. As per media reports, The Maradu Police on Monday arrested the actor after a lady anchor lodged a complaint against him claiming that Sreenath verbally abused her during an interview. This incident happened last week during the promotion of Bhasi’s film ‘Chattambi’. During an interview, he reportedly lost his cool after probing questions were put before him.
It is being reported that Sreenath Bhasi is likely to walk out of the Maradu Police station soon as the charges against him are bailable after sureties are presented. Furthermore, the Pranayam actor later apologized saying he has not abused anyone, he just reacted in a way that one would when insulted. Bhasi also mentioned that he had not done anything wrong. However, without paying any heed to him, Police registered a case against the actor asking him to appear before them. On 26th September, Sreenath was grilled by Police for an hour and later got arrested.
Talking about his professional front, Sreenath Bhasi was a radio jockey before venturing into the film industry. In 2011, he made his debut with Blessy’s directorial ‘Pranayam’ which also starred Mohanlal and Anupam Kher. He shot to fame with his very first movie and went on to star in nearly 50 films. Sreenath’s latest release Chattambi was helmed by Abhilash S Kumar and featured Chemban Vinod Jose, Grace Antony, and Mythili as lead characters. The Malayalam movie was released on 23rd September 2022.
