Film producer Kamal Kishore Mishra has been arrested after he was accused of allegedly running his car over his wife during a confrontation last week in Mumbai. According to the reports by PTI, he was caught on CCTV trying to run away while his wife was talking to him. The footage has now gone viral and it has caused a massive outrage amongst the netizens, which has led the police to take action against him.

A case has been registered against him for rash driving and attempted murder. According to reports, the producer was caught having an affair with a model in the parking lot of their residence in Andheri by his wife, Yasmeen. The incident took place on October 19 at three in the morning. Trying to avoid the confrontation, Mishra started driving his Mercedes, and in the process, he ran over his wife. In the video, it is seen that after realising what he has done, he doesn't stop and speeds away.

The 35-year-old has sustained injuries to her leg, hand, and head. The producer was detained by the Amboli police on Thursday. Yasmeen has claimed that her husband has been having an affair with a model since February, and they have had similar confrontations before.

According to Bandopant Bansode, senior police inspector of Amboli Police Station, the producer has been booked under Section 279 (rash driving) and Section 227 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Republic TV has quoted the senior PI saying, "Based on the statement of the victim, we have registered a case against Mishra under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including sections 279 and 337."
