Sr NTR's Daughter Uma Maheswari was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her room in Hyderabad
As per the latest reports, former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao’s daughter has allegedly committed suicide in Hyderabad. On Monday, Uma Maheswari was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her room. It is being reported that Sr NTR's daughter went to her room during lunchtime in the afternoon and she didn't come out for a while. Police confirmed that the late actor’s daughter died by suicide. As per the Police’s investigation, Uma decided to take this extreme step due to her health problems.
However, the actual reason behind the suicide is yet not revealed. Police assume that medical issues were a major reason for Uma Maheswari's suicide. Maheswari, 52, is survived by her daughter Dikshitha. Her daughter informed Police that when Uma did not come out of her room for a long time, she got worried and thus called the cops. On reaching her residence in Jubilee Hills, the cops opened the door and found Uma hanging from the ceiling fan. There were reportedly four people in the house when this shocking incident took place.
A case has been registered under section 174 of The Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Police to enquire and report on suicide, etc.) at Jubilee Hills police station in the city.
Sr. NTR had eight sons and four daughters and Uma was the youngest of four daughters. She is survived by her two daughters. NTR's three sons including actor and former minister N Harikrishna had also passed away. Many celebrities including N Chandrababu Naidu and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, and others visited Uma Maheswari's home to offer their condolences.
